He described the initiative as a coalition that seeks to provide an alternative to the dominance of the two major parties, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC). “We all know that the two biggest political parties in the country, the NPP and the NDC, always dominate the political space. Agya Koo, who is widely recognised for his contributions to Ghana’s film industry, has previously been associated with the NPP. Ghanaian actor Agya Koo has spearheaded a movement to establish a new political party called the Ghana First Party.
