Patrick Odey, UyoVoting has started in Ukanafun Uwa East, Ukana Ukot Etan village Hall and Independent High School, Ukana (Godswill Akpabio's polling unit). However, there is voters apathy as few people were seen voting in their respective centres. The All Progressives Congress had announced its withdrawal from the Akwa Ibom rerun election, citing alleged bias of the Independent National Electoral Commission. Despite the restriction of movement in Essein Udim Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, people and vehicles were seen moving freely. The PUNCH correspondent, who is monitoring the re-run election in the affected local government, reports that people are going about their normal duty, including vehicles and okada riders.
