Al Ahly ladies dominated the game from the start and took the lead early in the game with Zamalek trying to chase the score. Also, Al Ahly counted on counter-attacks that followed the fantastic saves of their goalkeeper Ghada Hossam who put on a sensational performance to inspire Al Ahly ladies to a fully-deserved victory. Al Ahly women's head coach Yehia Youssef celebrated with his players after the match as he lifted his first trophy in his position as Al Ahly women's handball team head coach. Zamalek lost the Cup title for the second straight season as they lost last season to Sporting.
