Alabama’s law is the most restrictive in the nation, and abortion rights activists have said they will sue to block its enforcement. I will be attacked by fellow conservatives for saying this but so be it, this Alabama abortion ban is too restrictive. In a sign of the political sensitivity around the issue, most national Republicans were reticent on Thursday to weigh in on Alabama’s new law. Of those 25 men who voted to ban abortion in Alabama, I’d like to know how many of them have ever been pregnant.
