A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged with murder following a fatal attack at the Albany bus station on Monday afternoon. Emergency services responded after an altercation at the bus station between members of the public. A person was injured and transported to Auckland Hospital in a critical condition but later died from their injuries. In an update on Tuesday morning, Det Insp Callum McNeill, of Waitematā, said police officers travelled to Hamilton on Monday evening and arrested the 16-year-old. "We are working through the process of formal identification and contacting the family," McNeill said.
