Auch said he only uses glyphosate in the spring, to prep fields and clear them of weeds before sowing. Lanier is a durum wheat farmer, as his father was before him. “If it was so dangerous, my 92-year-old father wouldn’t be there riding his horse in my fields,” Lanier said when conversation turned to glyphosate use by Canadian farmers.
