Algeria on Saturday reported 129 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number in the North African country to 3,256. Meanwhile, the fatalities of COVID-19 increased to 419 after four new death cases were reported in the past 24 hours, Djamel Fourar, head of the Detection and Follow-up Commission, told reporters. The number of recovery cases has increased to 1,479 after 71 more patients were discharged, he said. So far, 2,077 confirmed cases according to laboratory analysis and 3,567 suspected cases according to radiology and scanner analysis have been hospitalized for treatment, Fourar noted. Algeria reported the first novel coronavirus case on February 25.
