Fox's Alita: Battle Angel dipped a bit on Friday, earning $7.53 million and bringing its two-day total to $16.23m. The good news is that the Robert Rodriguez-directed/James Cameron-produced sci-fi actioner is going to win the long weekend. If Alita: Battle Angel legs it out like A Good Day to Die Hard (and Alita is a much better movie than John Moore's cinematic catastrophe), then we're looking at an over/under $38 million five-day weekend. Yes, Alita is absolutely worth seeing on the biggest screen you can find. Alita: Battle Angel could earn around $80 million domestic plus whatever it nabs overseas.
