All Middle East-bound flights suspended from Dhaka airport

All flights bound for the Middle East have been suspended from Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport following the outbreak of fresh fighting in the region. An airport spokesperson confirmed the development on Saturday, saying services would remain on hold until further notice due to the renewed war situation, bdnews24.com reports. Bosra Islam, general manager of Public Relations Wing at Biman Bangladesh Airlines, said: “All flights to the Middle East have been halted. The strikes have raised fears of broader regional escalation, prompting airlines worldwide to review or reroute flights. Airspace disruptions and heightened security risks have forced several international carriers, including Air France and Russian airlines, to suspend or reroute flights to Iran, Israel, and nearby countries.
