DHAKA, April 3, 2026 (BSS) - The Directorate General of Health Services(DGHS) has cancelled all leave of its doctors and employees across thecountry until the ongoing measles outbreak among children comes to an end. A Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the DGHS confirmed the matter today. He said the health directorate issued an official order in this regard onApril 2. According to the office order signed by DGHS Director (Administration)Professor Dr Jalal Uddin Mohammad Rumi, leave of all categories of doctors,officials, employees and health workers working at the DGHS and itsaffiliated health institutions has been suspended or cancelled. The order said the decision was taken to ensure uninterrupted medicalservices and facilitate measles vaccination activities during the emergencysituation caused by measles-related pneumonia among children.
