Asked how a person would be identified for testing, Health Secretary Beela Rajesh said that since the districts were divided into zones, the entire process would be digitally managed. All passengers from Chennai who test positive will be sent to hospitals for treatment, as per protocol. The individuals concerned must monitor their health for seven days after such quarantine. Those travelling for business purposes and returning to their respective places within 48 hours are exempted from having to undergo quarantine, provided they furnish valid return documents. Those who test positive will be hospitalised and those testing negative will have to undergo institutional quarantine or home quarantine for 14 days.
