Allee Willis, the writer of the theme song “I’ll Be There For You” in popular TV Series, “friends”, has died at the age of 72. She is also known for singing Earth, Wind & Fire’s classic “September” and the news was announced by the Songwriters Hall of Fame yesterday. In a report by TMZ, Allee died after reportedly having a cardiac arrest on Christmas Eve in Los Angeles. Her first and only album, Childstar, did not sell well, and she stopped performing because she did not enjoy it. She worked at a comedy club and hung posters for four years before meeting Maurice White of Earth, Wind & Fire, with whom she wrote the lyrics for her first big hit, September.
