A car hit the pedestrian about 10pm last night near Adelaide Street and Frankton Road. Police alleged last night that the driver of a silver station wagon left the scene, possibly travelling up Melbourne St. This morning, they said a 33-year-old male driver had been located and would appear in Queenstown District Court on Monday. It is understood the pedestrian has serious injuries and was flown to Dunedin Hospital last night.
