British Gymnastics has been accused of “catastrophic failures” over its handling of alleged sexual abuse by a former trampoline coach in what the victim claims is the biggest case of its kind in the governing body’s history. According to a BBC report, the allegations concern Brian Phelps, who was jailed in 2008, aged 64, after admitting a string of indecent assaults against three children and served six years of a nine-year sentence.
