Photo : File PhotoDHAKA, Dec 30, 2025 (BSS) – The American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham) has expressed its deepest condolences on the passing of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia, the first female Prime Minister of Bangladesh and the second female head of government in the Muslim world. In a message of condolence, the AmCham said, “Her exemplary leadership marked a defining chapter in Bangladesh’s modern history. She broke barriers and reshaped the legacy of women’s leadership in South Asia and beyond. We remember her national leadership and democratic legacy in shaping the economy, education, and nation building,”The AmCham also said, “We believe the nation will remain united and draw lessons from her resilience, empathy, and dedication to public life.
