Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu said people are now getting electricity around the clock across the country as quick rental power plants have reduced load shedding to almost zero. “Even though there were many criticisms against the quick rental system, this initiative [by the government] has ensured power security for all,” he said on Thursday. Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority (SREDA), Power Cell and ExpoNet Exhibition (Pvt) limited are jointly organizing the four-day expo and dialogue. Amu said the government has taken different initiatives to increase power generation for ensuring electricity security of the country’s people. A total of 62 entrepreneurs from seven countries are taking part in the expo.
