Affordable health care and the climate crisis are such huge issues nationally and also in California. I hope that we get more support from the federal government around these. And another issue that hits really close to home for me is the housing crisis. I work full-time as a reporter at the L.A. Times, and I teach at Emerson College, and I can still barely afford to live here. Real humans can’t afford to live here anymore, and it’s watering down [our] creativity and innovation, and certainly also the diversity of the population here.
