ASSOCIATED PRESSKansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles, who signed a one-day contract to officially retire as a member of the Chiefs, is one of the more underrated running backs of all time. Among running backs, only Marion Motley (5.7) has a higher yards per rushing attempt average than Charles’ 5.4. That tops both Jim Brown (5.2) and Barry Sanders (5.0), who many consider as the greatest running backs of all time. The all-time leader in rushing yardage for Kansas City, Charles played from 2008 to 2016 with the Chiefs, rushing for 7,260 yards and 43 touchdowns. A third-round pick in the 2008 draft, he surpassed 1,000 rushing yards five times for the Chiefs.
