By Anthony HarrupThe surplus in U.S. natural-gas storage likely increased last week with a small build in inventories, as a lack of weather-driven demand more than offset the impact of recent production cuts. It would be the first weekly storage build since Thanksgiving week. The projected increase compares with a five-year average draw for the week of 87 Bcf. Estimates in the survey range from a storage draw of 7 Bcf to an increase of 11 Bcf. The U.S. Energy Information Administration is due to release its weekly natural-gas storage report on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. EDT.
