ELDERS of Okpoko community, Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, yesterday called on Governor Willie Obiano not to impose an unpopular leadership on them because of their non-indigene status. The elders made the call at the community secretariat in Okpoko after rising from a general meeting held in solidarity of the embattled President General, PG, Hon. “The community before he came in had never witnessed a democratically elected executive until he came in. It has been crises all through then because it was a caretaker committee leadership that was in place before we objected to it and God helped us to usher in a democratically elected leadership led by Emesinwa. Obiano to call some of his functionaries to order saying that their actions are capable of instigating crisis and bloodshed in the densely populated community.
