Many of the top grossers were films about tough guys from Tondo and Cavite. One was even titled, "Sa Iyo ang Tondo, Akin ang Cavite." Then, the two places were associated with tough men with action-packed lives that can move seamlessly from real to reel. The tough guy from Cavite is the Cavite governor himself, Jonvic Remulla, a physically imposing figure. Moments after the Remulla post, Sen. Ralph Recto released a more tempered statement - but also in defense of Mayor Moreno.
