Portsmouth CEO Andrew Cullen has revealed that the Blues walked away from two deals in January after making "substantial bids". The Portsmouth recruitment team had a busy transfer deadline day, selling Callum Lang as well as signing Jacob Brown, Gustavo Caballero and Madiodio Dia. But when reflecting on the buisness completed throughout the window, Cullen was left rueing what could have been with some players that did not end up joining. "We made significant and substantial bids for other players," Cullen told BBC Radio Solent. "The difficulty of the January transfer window is that it's very difficult to get deals across the line because clubs don't want to sell where as it would be more realistic in the summer," Cullen added.
