The Oscar winner and former politician Glenda Jackson is up for best actress for her return to the stage in King Lear. Jackson, 81, will compete with Laura Donnelly, nominated for her performance in Jez Butterworth’s The Ferryman, and Victoria Hamilton for her role in Albion. The Ferryman leads the awards with four nominations. Ink, which explores the birth of the Sun newspaper, has three, as does Dominic Cooke’s revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Follies.
