Angus Gardiner appointed Crusaders general manager for professional rugbySuppliedFormer Crusaders loose forward Angus Gardiner is moving up a peg at the Christchurch-based franchise. Gardiner, the Crusaders team manager since 2012, has been appointed as general manager for professional rugby. Gardiner will start his new job on September 1, while the Crusaders have already started looking for a Gardiner's replacement as team manager. Crusaders chief executive Hamish Riach announced the move on Wednesday and said Gardiner was an "outstanding servant" to the franchise. He was Canterbury's team manger from 2007-2012, when he moved into his most recent role with the Crusaders.
