PhotoAnna Malaika Grace Ntiriwah Asare and Michael Derrick Tubbs were married Dec. 5. She is a daughter of Nancy S. Nti Asare and Richard K. Nti Asare of Accra, Ghana. Mr. Tubbs, 27, is the mayor of Stockton. Before being elected mayor, Mr. Tubbs served as a member of the City Council from 2013-16. He is a son of Racole J. Dixon of Stockton and Michael A. Tubbs of Folsom, Calif. His mother is an information technology specialist at the Health Plan of San Joaquin, an insurance company in Stockton.
