MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang has appointed Jeremiah Belgica, brother of Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission commissioner Greco Belgica, as head of the Anti-Red Tape Authority. Jeremiah is the third member of the Belgica family to join the Duterte administration. Malacañang released yesterday the latest summary list of appointments, which showed that Jeremiah was appointed on June 3. The Palace did not release the appointment papers of new appointees, which has been customarily the practice under past administrations. The presidential spokesperson’s office referred members of the media to the Records Section under the Office of the President for a copy of the appointment papers.
