The hearing of this case over the past weeks has been delayed due to undisclosed reasons, a situation which has pondered many Liberians including local and international business owners, who are craving for an immediate settlement of Liberian Government’s financial obligations to businesses including the businessman George Haddad chain of businesses. The last scheduled hearing on December 1, 2017 into this very case was not heard for undisclosed reason, while at the same time a drama unfolded when the main entry to the Court where the case was be held was locked ahead of the hearing of the case between George Haddad’s group of companies regarding what is believed as an unpaid debt of US$10.7 million the Liberia Government owed. However, Liberians who spoke to the GNN-Liberia prayed that tomorrow’s hearing will be held without any setback as was previously done, noting, “The Court has to come out with a definite ruling in order for this businessman to receive his just payments. George Haddad’s salaries obligation with is employees who have not been paid for months must be settled after the Liberian Government pay his huge financial arrears,” Aaron Q. Jacobs who spoke to our staff noted. (Visited 1 times, 1 visits today)Commentscomments
