An ATR 72 of VASCO, a fully-owned subsidiary of Vietnam Airlines, was damaged after it was hit by with a cargo truck at Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat Airport on Thursday. A cargo truck operated by Vietnam Airport Ground Services Co., Ltd (VIAGS) reportedly hit the aircraft and damaged a section of the fuselage near the front door, local media reported. It was the second incident involving a Vietnam Airlines aircraft in three days. On Tuesday, technicians found that a Vietnam Airlines Airbus A321’s tailplane had been damaged after it landed safely at Vinh Airport from HCMC. Tan Son Nhat Airport Authority later said the tailplane was damaged when it was towed by a truck to a runway for takeoff.
