Another months-long lane closure on Highway 417 in central Ottawa starts Monday, part of an ongoing project to replace overpasses that has sometimes frustrated motorists in previous summers. Ontario's Ministry of Transportation (MTO) and contractors Kiewit-Dufferin Midtown Partnership began replacing five aging Queensway overpasses in 2021. The work was expected to end last year, but ramps at Lyon Street and Bronson have remained closed. The closure is expected to remain until late summer. There will be other temporary lane and ramp closures over the summer, according to the contractors.
