KUALA LUMPUR: DAP Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi's remarks over the passing of PAS spiritual leader Datuk Dr Haron Din were insensitive and he should apologise, said MCA president Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai. Ooi had made the remarks in a retweet of another Twitterer’s comments. Lim said DAP regrets the "insensitive remarks" made by Ooi in his “adios” tweet. Earlier, Ooi denied claiming his Twitter account had been hacked and that he had no part in the controversial tweet. Ooi also said that he had wished Dr Haron farewell and had no intention of belittling him or his family.
