The Supreme Court’s Appellate Division will decide on Monday whether to grant appeals against the bail granted by the High Court to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia in the Zia Orphanage Trust graft case. A four-member appellate bench led by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain held the hearing on the bail petitions on Sunday. High Court judges granted a four-month interim bail to Khaleda Zia on Mar 12. The state and the ACC sought to appeal the bail decision before the Supreme Court on Mar 14.
