Amazon made an announcement today that will make music lovers extremely happy: Within the next few weeks, Apple’s streaming service will work with Amazon Echo devices. This new united front benefits the 50 million Apple Music subscribers, as many own Echo speakers in lieu of Apple’s pricier version, the HomePod. This is a wise move for Amazon and Apple, as smart speaker purchases provide a key opportunity for subscription music services. Apple Music is also compatible with another non-Apple platform, the Android Apple Music app. We’re excited to bring Apple Music to our Alexa customers this holiday season.
