Another year, another set of iPhones that seem to pale in innovative comparison to the iPhones of yore. The advancements in functionality feel like Apple is always playing catch-up to things that exist in Samsung or Google Pixel phones. When was the last time you were really passionate about the Apple iPhone? Unlike most Google Android phones, Apple iPhones require you to remain adhered to an ecosystem in which you are never really the true owner of your technology for which you paid a high price. Apple iPhones are cheap (not cheap) plastic imitations of what they once meant to us, perhaps not in actual physical construction, but of the feeling we get from their existence.
