PETALING JAYA: MIC calls on Barisan Nasional leaders to move quickly in appointing election coordinators for all parliamentary and state assembly seats it plans to contest in the 16th General Election (GE16). MIC national strategy director Datuk Sivarraajh Chandran said such a move is key to instilling confidence in the people and their supporters that the coalition is committed to returning as a dominant coalition. “This move would demonstrate Barisan’s commitment and determination to contest the 115 parliamentary seats as well as the state assembly seats in the GE16. He added that early appointment of election coordinators would also enable Barisan's election machinery to begin operating strategically in every parliamentary and state constituency. “I also believe that the appointment of coordinators will demonstrate our seriousness to all component parties and friends of Barisan to continue working hard in preparation for the upcoming GE16,” Sivarraajh said.
