BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has remarked that “April is not suitable in any way” for the general election. The party's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, members of the BNP Chairperson’s Advisory Council, and other central leaders were also present. In the absence of the chairperson, the party's secretary general and members of the Standing Committee pay homage at the grave of the party's founder. Fakhrul said, "On behalf of the party, Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, I wish our countrymen a happy Eid."
