The Oldham Times investigated the area to find a mattress, a sofa and condom wrappers around the corner from Westwood High, on Kelsall Street. “They aren’t any trouble, but they are here – they exist”, the 35-year-old replied when asked whether sex workers patrol the streets in the area. According to local workers, the women pick up their business on the roundabout where Arkwright Street, Featherstall Road South and West Street meet. From there, they will either walk down Arkwright Street and onto Hargreaves Street where they will solicit sex acts, or walk up West Street and onto Kelsall Street.
