Pakistan Army has offered to assist the government in implementing the Prime Minister’s Housing Programme which will reportedly build around five million residential units for lower and middle-income segments of society. The offer was made during a task force meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan. Army’s representatives gave a detailed presentation to the PM and members of the task force on its experience in building low-cost housing units for its personnel. “Lt-Gen Moazzam Ajaz, the Quarter-Master General, made a detailed presentation on the army’s experience in catering to the housing needs of its personnel. The task force is directed to quickly finalise the plan and form a legislative framework for consideration by the provincial and the federal governments.
