Spanish police were trying to piece together a family mystery last night amid reports that a man named as a suspect in the Barcelona attacks may have had his documents stolen by his younger brother. Driss Oukabir, 28, Moroccan-born but living in Catalonia, was named by police as they hunted for him after finding his identity documents at the scene. They issued a picture of Mr Oukabir and said that they believed him to be the man who had hired the van in the nearby town of Santa Perpetua de Mogoda that was used to run down pedestrians on the busy street of Las Ramblas, in Barcelona.
