There are brand new Arrested Development episodes on Netflix — but at first glance you wouldn’t even know it. Season 4 of Arrested Development is tolerable at best, and Season 5 is a joke — but not in the funny ha ha sense. The original run for Arrested Development made its mark as being a highly absurdist look at a dysfunctional, sometimes incestious, family. Arrested Development was always that good at making you laugh on the second or even third viewing of an episode. I don’t think anyone’s ever tuned into an Arrested Development episode hoping to find a murder trial.
