Two men, aged 54 and 32, have been arrested in connection with the attack, which took place shortly before 6pm outside a mosque in the market town of Altrincham, Greater Manchester. Nasser Kurdy, a 58-year-old consultant orthopaedic surgeon, was arriving at the Altrincham Islamic Centre for evening prayers when he was approached from behind and stabbed in the neck. His attacker fled and Mr Kurdy was taken to Wythenshawe Hospital. Mr Kurdy’s son Oaiss, 20, told The Times that he believed the attack could have been motivated by the Parsons…
