The club has confirmed the incident, from which the 23-year-old emerged unhurt after rolling his Mercedes on the motorway. Highways England reported that emergency services had attented an accident described as a ‘multi-vehicle incident with a car on its side’ at the same point on the M25. Arsenal’s club doctor has reportedly been in contact with Maitland-Niles to check on his wellbeing. The versatile star said he took on the loan move to the Baggies in an attempt to avoid ‘rotting away’ at Arsenal.
