These games will not form part of the Premier League Summer Series which was launched last summer and won by Chelsea due to an ongoing dispute over broadcasting rights. Chelsea and City have qualified for the 32-team Club World Cup, though Arsenal could join them if they win the Champions League this season. For now though, all attention is on the Premier League title race which Liverpool lead by five points from City, Arsenal and Aston Villa.
