Arsenal confirm Deyan Iliev loan exit with Alex Runarsson also set to depart


Deyan Iliev is heading out of Arsenal on a short-term deal (Picture: Getty Images)Arsenal have confirmed that goalkeeper Dejan Iliev has left for Slovakian side SKF Sered on loan, while another ‘keeper is also expected to depart in the coming days. 26-year-old Iliev has never made an appearance for the Gunners, despite joining the club in 2012, already spending time on loan at with SKF Sered, then short-term spells with Polish outfit Jagiellonia and Shrewsbury Town. The 6’5″ Macedonian now heads to Slovakia again with the team he played for two years ago, with any chance of breaking into the Arsenal side looking extremely unlikely. Another stopper set to leave is Alex Runarsson, who is reportedly joining Turkish side Altay for the coming season. The Gunners are looking to add a new goalkeeper to their first team squad and have seen two bids turned down by Sheffield United for Aaron Ramsdale.
