Arsenal and Liverpool are set to go head-to-head to sign Wolves star Pedro Neto in the January transfer window, but the Reds may have an advantage in the race as they look to find a successor for their talisman Mohamed Salah . The Portuguese forward has been one of the most impressive Premier League players so far this season and has clearly attracted the attention of some of the country’s biggest clubs. Neto has been viewed as the perfect alternative to Saka - and someone who is versatile enough to fill in at other positions. However, that positive impression has also seemingly been made at Anfield as Liverpool search for a successor to Salah after knocking back an initial pursuit from Saudi Arabia in the summer. Despite Jurgen Klopp boasting an array of firepower from the likes of Darwin Nunez, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo, none of the quartet are specialist right-wingers and Salah’s potential exit could force the Reds into the transfer market - where they appear to have identified Neto as a serious option.
