Matteo Guendouzi is the most likely candidate to step into the midfield alongside Lucas Torreira, while Xhaka’s set-piece expertise is also being replaced. With Mkhitaryan unlikely to start following a poor first-half performance against Spurs last time out, Emery has had Torreira and Sead Kolasinac practising their dead-ball skills.
