Former Arsenal defender William Gallas has pinpointed two January transfers that the Gunners can make in order to pip Manchester City to the Premier League title this season. Arsenal spent big to improve their squad in the hope of going one step further this season, as Declan Rice, Kai Havertz, Jurrien Timber and David Raya all arrived at the Emirates this summer. But Gallas is among many who believe that further additions are needed still to propel Arsenal to the Premier League summit. The Frenchman insists that more firepower is necessary up front, though disagreed with club icon Ian Wright’s suggestion that Brentford striker Ivan Toney should be the one that moves in January in order to get Arsenal over the line. “I think Arsenal need one world-class striker, and at the moment, Toney is not a world-class striker, he is a good striker who has been doing well, but Arsenal need a striker like [Erling] Haaland,” Gallas told Lord Ping.
