Arsenal trying to hijack Barcelona's transfer deal for Layvin Kurzawa

The full-back is available on a free transfer this summer and has a host of suitors, including Premier League leaders Liverpool. Arsenal were close to signing Kurzawa last January before the defender decided to see out the remainder of the season with PSG. Kurzawa prefers a switch to Barcelona and would like to have his transfer move wrapped up as soon as possible. Barcelona view the 27-year-old as a cheap option for them to strengthen their defence, but the Catalan giants do not want to commit to any deal during the coronavirus pandemic. Arsenal are not the only club trying to take advantage of Barcelona’s stalling, with Italian side Napoli also making an offer.
