As the country goes to the poll on October 10, 2017, with nine more days remaining, some ex-officials of the Unity Party (UP) have criticied the strategic communication team of the party, saying the it is allergic to accountability, describing the party as a ‘Fountain of corruption’. According to a member of the Party’s media team, Charles Roberts in a communication to the GNN, expressed disappointment in the party, especially when the issue of corruption is being highlighted. Roberts’ communication also noted, “Another problem is all these Gentlemen are supporters of Mr. Amara Konneh, former Minister of Finance and are not members of the UP. Amara M. Konneh and the Sirleafs. “Those Gentlemen are today in the Unity Party War Room pretending to be discussing Strategies as it relates to the Unity Party campaign, whereas leaking these information to their Slaves Master reaching the bedroom of Madam Sirleaf who is very desperate to not see the Unity Party being elected.
