As Polls Close In Presidential Election, UP and CDC At Neck To Neck, ECOWAS Identifies Lapses With Process -

Polling centers around the country closed late yesterday evening (6pm) with the counting of provisional voting taken place highlighting the big three; the ruling Unity Party, Coalition for Democratic Change and the Alternative National Congress making headways. Earlier yesterday, in Margibi County, Liberia the head of the Ecowas Elections Observers Mission to Liberia, former Ghanaian President his Excellency John Dramani Mahama said the October 10 polls is being marked by several lapses on the part of election workers. As the preliminary result is been released on local radio stations from correspondents around the country, Liberians who glued to their radio sets anxiously look forward to hearing the candidate take the lead. The National Elections Commission (NEC) is the only authorized institution that is clothed with the responsibility that will officially announce the entire results. We will send more information relating to the elections.
