The San Antonio Spurs were once interested in Trevor Ariza, then a member of the Phoenix Suns. So, as the 2019 NBA Trade Deadline nears, the Spurs only have so much time to acquire a wing. Even as NBA players expand their range, some of them should not be taking as much if they can't make them, including Johnson. For a trade, Johnson only makes $3.9 million. The Spurs can send Pondexter's $1.51 million and Cunningham's $2.48 million, and both players are minimal contributors at this point.
